About Wentworth Leisure Centre

Wentworth Leisure Centre is Hexham's main sports and leisure facility, on Wentworth Place close to the town centre. It is operated by Places for People Leisure in partnership with Northumberland County Council, offering a modern gym, swimming, fitness classes and sports facilities for all ages. As the principal public leisure venue for the town and surrounding Tynedale area, it caters to families, individuals and clubs throughout the week.

Facilities include a swimming pool, a gym equipped with treadmills and exercise bikes, multiple studios for fitness classes and an indoor cycling studio, along with a sports hall and outdoor pitches and athletics provision. For families and casual visitors there is a soft play area and ten-pin bowling lanes, while a café and licensed bar provide somewhere to relax. The centre is designed with accessibility in mind, offering accessible parking, lift access and accessible pool steps.
