Town-council-managed allotment plots available to Hexham residents, administered from the council office on West Road.

About Hexham Town Council Allotments

Hexham Town Council manages a network of allotment plots for the benefit of local residents, administered from the council office at St Andrew's Cemetery on West Road. The council provides over 100 plots across three sites in the town: Quatre Bras near the Broadway, Dene Park to the rear of Monk's Terrace, and Wydon Park to the south of Wydon reservoir. The allotments give townspeople the chance to grow their own fruit and vegetables and enjoy the wellbeing and community benefits of tending a plot.

Allotments in Hexham are much in demand, and the strong interest means a long waiting list; to keep waiting times as manageable as possible, full plots at Quatre Bras are halved as they become available. Tenancies run yearly, commencing each 1 October, with both full and half plots offered. The Town Clerk holds day-to-day responsibility for the sites and handles applications and enquiries about joining the waiting list.
