About Hexham Community Centre
Hexham Community Centre is a busy community hub in the heart of the town on Gilesgate, run as part of the Hexham & Tynedale Community Trust, a registered charity. Standing close to the railway and bus stations, it serves as a gathering place for residents of all ages, hosting a mix of weekly classes, clubs and one-off events alongside outreach initiatives designed to enrich local life across the wider Tynedale area.
The centre offers several rooms for hire for celebrations, meetings and business use, including the Stan Batey Hall for children's parties, plus a dedicated business floor with office space and meeting rooms. Its regular programme takes in a pre-school playgroup for younger children, Pilates, an art club, a ukulele group and holiday play sessions. Everyday services on offer include parking-disc sales, a parcel service, photocopying and community advice, making it a practical resource as well as a social one.
