Beer Festivals Near Hexham: Corbridge & Wark

Tynedale Beer and Cider Festival, Corbridge

The biggest festival in the area — known to many locals simply as the Corbridge Beer Festival — is held each June at Tynedale Rugby Club, just four miles from Hexham. In 2026: Thu 19 Jun (6-11pm), Fri 20 Jun (4-11pm), Sat 21 Jun (noon-11pm). Real ales, ciders, gin/rum/wine bar, street food, and live music. Camping available on site. Battlesteads Beer Festival, Wark

About 15 miles north, the Battlesteads Hotel hosts its annual festival in late July or early August — now in its fourteenth year. Smaller, more intimate, with a curated range of cask ales and craft beer. The hotel also has a dark sky observatory for combined beer and stargazing. Check dates at battlesteads.com.

Tips

Both festivals sell out for main sessions. Book early, especially Saturdays. Hexham station is on the Newcastle-Carlisle line; taxis to Corbridge Rugby Club take ~10 minutes.
