The Feathers Inn

Family-run village pub in Hedley on the Hill serving seasonal British food built on Northumberland farmers, growers and foragers.

About The Feathers Inn

The Feathers Inn is a stone-built free house in the hilltop village of Hedley on the Hill, south of the Tyne near Stocksfield. It has been run by Rhian and Helen since 2007 as a family pub, with a menu of seasonal British food built around regional farmers, growers and foragers.

The pub has collected a long list of awards, including a place in the Good Food Guide's 100 Best Pubs 2026 (64th) and Good Pub Guide Northumbria Dining Pub of the Year 2023. Alongside the pub it runs a Saturday morning bakery and, in summer, a stone-baked pizza yard. It opens Thursday to Sunday and closes for the first two weeks of January, so check the website before travelling.
