Scott Mitchell Veterinary Care is a mixed veterinary practice based at Tyne Green in Hexham, serving clients across Northumberland, Tyneside and County Durham. It was founded in 2001 by Roger Scott, who returned to his home town to create a practice able to meet the diverse animal-care needs of the area. The practice is organised into dedicated equine, farm and small-animal departments, each with its own team.

Small-animal services cover cats, dogs and a range of other companion and exotic pets, while the farm team supports agricultural clients across the region. The equine department is a notable strength, with modern facilities including digital X-ray, ultrasound, endoscopy, gastroscopy, shockwave and stem cell therapy, plus full surgical and hospitalisation provision with 24-hour nursing care. The practice is a member of the XLVets and XLEquine networks of independently owned veterinary practices.
