About Dene Park House

Dene Park House on Corbridge Road, Hexham, is a base for adult social care provided and run by Northumberland County Council, and it operates as the West Short Term Support Service (STSS) for the Hexham area. Rather than a permanent residential care home, the service is focused on short-term support and reablement, helping older people and other adults regain independence and confidence with daily living, often following a stay in hospital or a period of ill health. It delivers personal care and support both from the Hexham base and in people's own homes.

The service was rated Outstanding overall by the Care Quality Commission in its 2023 inspection, with Outstanding ratings for being caring and responsive, and Good ratings for safety, effectiveness and leadership. Operated by the county council with a registered manager overseeing the team, it forms part of Northumberland's wider network of community and short-term support services, and the building on Corbridge Road is also used by the council for meetings and conference facilities.
