Rising Cafe

Cafe with a 1940s flavour serving home-baked goods, classic dishes, and great beverages. All proceeds go towards the Rising Cafe charity, which works to restore broken lives.

About Rising Cafe

Rising Cafe is a social-enterprise cafe on Beaumont Street in Hexham, beside the Benson Monument and close to the Abbey grounds. It has a cosy 1940s feel inside, with outdoor seating overlooking the park, making it a relaxed gathering spot in the market town. The cafe is operated by Betel of Britain, a registered charity that supports people in recovery and works to build community, and it trades as a working name of that charitable company.

The menu features homemade dishes, freshly baked goods and afternoon teas, with options catering to a range of dietary needs including children's choices, gluten-free and vegan. Because the cafe is run as a charitable social enterprise, its proceeds support Betel of Britain's work helping individuals in recovery and fostering community connection, so a visit directly contributes to that cause.
