Kids 1st Hexham is an Ofsted-registered day nursery on Maidens Walk, set behind Hexham General Hospital just off the A695. It occupies spacious, custom-designed premises with on-site parking and buggy storage, and its rooms are arranged by age so that babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers each have their own dedicated space. A generous garden, planted with evergreen trees and bushes, gives children daily access to nature and outdoor play, while a sensory room and interactive smart board support learning indoors. Secure access and CCTV are in place throughout the building.

The nursery cares for children across the early years, from babies up to age five, and includes a pre-school room staffed by a qualified teacher and a foundation class offering an early introduction to school life. Learning follows the Bee Curious early years curriculum, and meals are freshly prepared on site by a chef, with nappies, wipes and formula milk included in the fees. Government-funded childcare places are available. Kids 1st Hexham holds a Good rating from Ofsted.
