About Elaine Pygall School of Dancing (Hexham)
The Elaine Pygall School of Dancing is a recreational dance school with branches in Prudhoe, Ponteland and Hexham, its Hexham branch having opened in 2023. Hexham classes are held at Trinity Church Halls on Beaumont Street and at Hexham Community Centre, both central town-centre venues. The school is led by principal Elaine Pygall, who has more than 20 years of teaching experience and works as an Associate Artist with the Royal Opera House.
Classes cater to children and adults across a wide range of styles, including ballet, tap, freestyle, street, modern jazz, acrobatic arts, contemporary and theatrecraft, with early years and KS1 sessions for younger children and recreational ballet, tap and Pilates for adults. The school is affiliated with the IDTA and focuses on finding the right classes and pathway for each student, offering opportunities such as holiday camps and Royal Opera House associate classes.
