Hexham Farmers' Market is a long-established fixture on the town's calendar, bringing together producers from within a 50-mile radius to sell fresh, seasonal and locally made food and drink. The 19 December market is the last of the year, falling on the fourth Saturday of the month and offering a final chance to pick up local produce and festive treats before Christmas. Stalls typically feature meat, cheese, bread, honey, preserves, seasonal vegetables and Christmas specialities, all set out in the heart of Hexham's historic Market Place. The usual hours are 9am to 1.30pm, though the market can run later when it coincides with the town's wider festive activity. Parking is available at the nearby Wentworth car park (NE46 3PD), a short but fairly steep walk up to the Market Place. Entry to the market is free.
