About This Event

Queen's Hall Theatre Club presents Calendar Girls, Tim Firth's play based on the award-winning film and the true story of a group of Yorkshire women who posed for a nude calendar to raise money for a local cancer ward. Their fundraising succeeds beyond all expectations, and the play also deals with grief, friendship and the pull of sudden celebrity. This amateur production runs for three evenings in the main theatre with unreserved seating, and collections for Tynedale Hospice at Home and Hexham Hub for Cancer will be held at each performance. Recommended for ages 14 and over; contains mild nudity and adult themes.
