About This Event

Something in the Water is a cabaret-style variety show hosted by Joe McElderry at Theatre Royal Newcastle. McElderry, who grew up in South Shields and won The X Factor in 2009 aged just 18, has built a varied career spanning pop, opera and musical theatre. The show is powered by funk-soul supergroup Groovetrain and features comedian Danny Adams, Hairy Bikers' Si King, comedian Jason Cook, and West End stars Christina Bianco and Adam Strong. Something in the Water blends traditional cabaret with live concert energy and raises funds for talent development through the Newcastle Theatre Royal Trust.
