The Edinburgh Luciakor lead a candlelit Scandinavian Sankta Lucia procession and songs through the darkened Abbey.
About This Event
Hexham Abbey is lit by candles for Sankta Lucia, the Swedish festival of light in the darkest month of the year. The Edinburgh Luciakor sing Scandinavian seasonal songs before Lucia, wearing a crown of candles, leads the white-robed choir in procession around the darkened Abbey. The Hextol Foundation will be offering traditional refreshments.
