Mark Steel: Work in Progress
Award-winning comedian and writer Mark Steel tries out brand-new stand-up material on a Hexham audience. Currently sold out, with a waiting list for returns.
About This Event
Mark Steel brings a work-in-progress show of brand-new material to Queen's Hall, testing fresh stand-up on a live audience before it is polished for touring. He is best known for BBC Radio 4's Mark Steel's in Town, the BAFTA-nominated Mark Steel Lectures, and regular appearances on Have I Got News for You and The News Quiz. He has recently recovered from throat cancer and has written about the experience in his book The Leopard in My House. The show runs for around two hours ten minutes including an interval and is recommended for ages 14 and over. The performance is currently listed as sold out, but Queen's Hall runs a waiting list for returned tickets, and the box office can be reached on 01434 652477.
