It's A Wonderful Us
The Lawnmowers and Murmur Theatre's comedy about a double act trapped in a never-ending variety show, inspired by It's a Wonderful Life.
About This Event
A comedy double act find themselves stuck in a variety show that never ends. When one suggests weaving his partner's life story into the act, it leads to unexpected discoveries about his past. The piece blends classic double-act humour with themes from Frank Capra's film It's a Wonderful Life and follows one man's experience of living with learning disabilities. Written and directed by Steve Gilroy, the show is performed by a cast of learning-disabled and non-learning-disabled actors from The Lawnmowers and Murmur Theatre. It runs for 1 hour 15 minutes with no interval and is recommended for ages 14 and over, with strong language, adult themes and references to illness and dementia.
