Hexham Lantern Parade 2026
A free community lantern parade through the streets of Hexham, gathering at the Bandstand, with live music from Northern Monkey Brass Band.
About This Event
Queen's Hall Arts brings back the Hexham Lantern Parade, with the community carrying handmade lanterns through the town centre after dark. This year Northern Monkey Brass Band joins the procession with its mix of New Orleans-inspired funk, brass and percussion. The parade is sponsored by EGGER and further route details are due to be announced. Taking part is free and no tickets are needed. Free lantern-making workshops at Queen's Hall on 27 October and 7 November help families prepare their lanterns, but those sessions need booking in advance.
