Led by knowledgeable volunteer guides, this free 90-minute walking tour takes in Hexham's key heritage sites, from the Old Gaol — England's first purpose-built prison — to Hexham House and the town's 800-year-old marketplace. Tours set off from the Queen's Hall foyer on Beaumont Street; arrive at least ten minutes early to collect a headset. Places are free but must be booked in advance.
