About This Event

Laid out as a trail through Hexham Abbey, this free exhibition marks the 110th anniversary of the Battle of the Somme through the stories of local families, the 4th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers and the VAD nurses of the home front. Mounted by the Abbey's Conservation Volunteers, the material will become a permanent digital archive. Open daily until 20 September.
