About This Event
What a Wonderful World is a multi-venue festival across Northumberland bringing together arts and sciences to raise awareness of the climate emergency and biodiversity loss. Running from Wednesday 25 to Sunday 28 June 2026, the festival is based primarily at Alnwick Playhouse but spreads across venues in Rothbury, Hauxley, Berwick, Hepple and the College Valley. The programme blends dance, song, drama, poetry, comedy, film and citizen science with wildlife excursions and environmental deep dives. The headline act is Jon Boden performing The Floodplain Trilogy. The festival also features family events, guided wildlife visits and sessions exploring Northumberland seafood. A thoughtful, community-driven festival using creativity to explore the most urgent questions of our time.
