This is Rambert comes to Newcastle Theatre Royal as Britain's oldest dance company celebrates a landmark centenary. Founded in 1926 by Dame Marie Rambert — a Polish-born dancer who had worked with Diaghilev's Ballets Russes — the company became the first dance company in Britain to reach 100 years of continuous performance. The centenary programme brings together three contemporary works: Hop(e)storm fusing Lindy Hop with contemporary rave, Gallery of Consequence transforming an airport into a metaphor for life's choices, and the European premiere of In Crimson. Limited Under-30 tickets are available from just ten pounds.
