About This Event
Sam Sweeney is recognised as one of the finest fiddle players of his generation, having performed with Bellowhead and Leveret before establishing himself as a compelling solo artist. In trio format with Ben Nicholls on double bass and Louis Campbell on guitar, the music blends traditional English melodies with contemporary arrangement, improvisation, and a deep sense of musical conversation. The result is something both intimate and expansive — rooted in the English folk tradition but reaching well beyond it. Nicholls brings renowned musicianship on bass while Campbell contributes innovative guitar work that gives the trio its distinctive texture. A special evening for folk and acoustic music lovers.
