About This Event
Beverley Knight MBE — widely hailed as the Queen of British Soul — brings her Born to Perform UK Tour to The Glasshouse. With a career spanning three decades, Knight has scored hit singles including Shoulda Woulda Coulda, Greatest Day and Keep This Fire Burning, won three MOBO Awards, and received her MBE in 2007. Her West End career has been equally dazzling: she has starred in The Bodyguard, Memphis the Musical, Cats and Sister Act, and won an Olivier Award for Sylvia at the Old Vic. Born to Perform celebrates the songs and stories from Knight's remarkable life on stage, bringing together her biggest pop and soul hits alongside musical-theatre favourites. Backed by her legendary band in a stripped-back setting designed to let her extraordinary voice shine, this promises to be an intimate yet electrifying evening.
